This blogs birth story...
How many times have you been told to 'take care'? In email signatures, at the end of a phone call, after a meeting or an interview. You may hear it multiple times a day, every day! But do you truly stop for a second to think about what it means...
- When can I take care?
- How do I take care?
- How do other people take care?
- What will happen if I don't take care?
'Take care' has become such an overused saying, that it has almost lost all meaning. Which is so very unfortunate! Because the result of that overuse is the creation of a slow blind eye to it in our minds. Similar to how we commonly greet each other with 'Hi! How are you?' without intentionally wanting an honest answer of how that person is truly 'doing'. Taking care of yourself + self care, in my opinion, is an incredibly important aspect of all of our lives!! Our mind, body & spirit need continuous attention. In my mind, self care is just as vital of a human need as being loved is.
Alright, so yes, taking care of ourselves is extremely important! We agree. But, now what? Thats hopefully where this blog enters. Taking care of ourselves will look different for everyone! We're all beautifully unique. Sure, there are some key staples which probably can apply to the majority of us - - regular exercise, proper nutrition, quality sleep, etc. However, there is a whole entire WORLD of different, fascinating, life-altering ideas that we can learn about that can become our chosen methods of self care. The things you'll read in this blog may already be familiar to you ... but you'll also be introduced to brand new things; things you've never heard of! The idea is to open your eyes to possibilities and to expand and broaden what could become YOUR chosen ways to take care of YOU!
Ways to Take Care Blog will be a way of sharing the ways that I take care of myself. And a way for me to share other ways that I learn about! We'll also have some guest bloggers as we go along! If you have a unique way that you take care, I would love to hear from you. Believe me - - we can never have too many ways
xoxo
